Elegy: The Valiant Brothers - Mughees and Muneeb
With a wrenched heart, I begin,
A wretched act commited by barbarians,
Lynching, they scraped their skin.
Brothers two, and fasting were they,
Eighteen and fifteen, ah, at feeble age,
Mughees and Muneeb, went out to play.
A petty scuffle over a cricket game,
The vultures swarmed, cornered got they,
Innocence got crushed, to its aid, no one came.
Mughees, with The Quran embellished in his heart,
Watched his young brother depart,
Alack! it being the most painful part.
The Law too, had its say,
"Go beat them to death",
Was the lawman's way.
The souls departed, silently,
Leaving their blood-bathed bodies, hanging,
Bidding farewell to this apathetic world, silently.
A country, where the rouges rule,
We seek justice for the valiant brothers,
The guilty be hanged, or be maimed, in their own bloody pool.
Vendetta begins with a 'V',
The Brothers' family seeks it,
Justice begins with a 'J' - if not served, more bloodshed there shall be.
O, cruel world! disgrace not their souls with ominous allegations,
Let their souls R.I.P.,
Without further afflictions.
May Allah forgive them both,
If not in this world,
Justice will be served in Allah's court.
Long shall live the Brothers' name,
Embalmed in history,
None shall be able to defame!
The poem is a perfect description of what happened and how agonizing this is, It could melt the most rigid of hearts. I wonder what the world is coming to with all this Barbarism , A country that had Islam as its ideology and was a symbol of peace , is now inhabited by savages and sinister blackhearted beings. A human life has now become as worthless as waste material.
ReplyDeleteAnother shocking fact concerning this very unfortunate incident is that , As many Pakistanis stood up against this and condemned the evil act saying such a thing is against law and those responsible will be held accountable ( Something We stil await ) It appears asif lives taken before the camera are actual crimes and the people getting murdered everyday doesnt count at all , Nobody would stand up , Nobody will stop this.
Bissmillah, a very heart touching poem that is written but nothing that we do now can bring the two brother's back,,
ReplyDeleteAll we can do is stop terrorism by uniting together and Inshallah, another Mughees or Muneeb will not be killed (shaheed), Indeed Allah the All Merciful is watching us and justice will be served in the Court of Allah Himself for He Himself is the most Merciful and Powerful ... May Allah grant them a place in Paradise and may their Mother have such peace in her heart Ameen :'(
